Social shared spaces from Hey Wall

We've just added a simple way to add multiple files/photos to a single message all in one go. Now, this isn't as technically simple as it may sound if you want to do it without having the cycle of pages asking "Do you want to add another file?" until you're ready to send. Our way you just click a button, pick your file(s) and click "Send" and you're done. No page refresh or anything - it just does it and your message appears underneath with it's files attached.

You'll need Flash 9 to use this - Flash 8 is too unstable to use for file uploads - but other than having it installed, you're ready to go!

Techy Bit - for those interested

Now, to make this really easy to use we decided to use a bit of Flash to get the job done. We're not normally ones to use Flash, but for this particular problem it's probably the best solution. The only other viable technology is Java, and we weren't going down that road!

Under the hood, we're using the new Swiff class from the Mootools 1.2 branch and a hacked-about version of FancyUploader, but you're probably not that interested, so I'll stop writing now.

Just a quick note: If you don't have Flash 9, you'll simply be relegated to a bog-standard file input which will only allow one file at a time. Worse, but better than nothing.
